The title of this project, TYPE J: UNLIMITED, encompasses a sense of fast moving, electric feeling of freedom that's only rivaled with the feeling of slamming gears on an empty freeway at night. The album features moments of warm, lush synthesizers, gut-punching 808s (and heartbreak), and drum breaks as well as moments of calm. During the making of this album, I was heavily inspired by '90s dramas from hong kong, jdm and drift culture, and '90s r&b music videos (the ones with the really elaborate and poorly scripted intros).
